Coliance is an IBM Gold Business Partner and reseller helping clients to move, transform and visualise their data. We do this through providing expert Integration, Managed File Transfer, API and Order Management services as well as software assets such as the Lightwell visibility portal and OMS testing framework. Since 2002, our experience and software assets, have been accelerating our clients’ projects and ensuring consistent and successful project delivery.

Marcus Langford
Marcus Langford
Managing Director
Marcus Langford is an experienced senior manager having held positions as Chief Operating Officer and Senior Sales Manager in previous organisations, before joining Coliance in 2018. With over 30 years experience in the IT Industry, he has worked in pretty much every industry including Finance, Government and Distribution, which has given him a strong appreciation of the unique and sometimes similar challenges, each sector faces.
When not working, he loves to spend time in his birth county of Devon watching “The Chiefs” beat Bath, Bristol and Gloucester at Rugby! Or he can occasionally be found on a bike or Paddle board in the summertime.
Ian Wells

As Chairman of Coliance, Ian Wells oversees day-to-day business operations in addition to developing and shaping the company’s growth strategy and development initiatives. In 2013, Ian led and successfully completed the sale of Chase Consultancy Ltd, a company he co-founded in 2002, to Lightwell Inc. Following the sale, Ian continued as Managing Director EMEA, responsible for the running of Lightwell’s business unit outside of the US. Ian was instigator of the management buy-out in late 2019, when we renamed to Coliance.
Ian holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from Bournemouth University in Information Systems Management. Along with his wife Laura, Ian has a strong passion for education and is majority shareholder and licensed operator of The Learning Centre – Private Schools in Peyia, Cyprus www.tlccyprus.com
Stuart Stirling
Professional Services Director
Stuart Stirling oversees a team of consultants focused on delivering expertise in integration and commerce solutions, as well as providing world class support and managed services. He has more than 20 years of experience with the IBM Sterling product suite, starting out in the insurance industry before joining Coliance in 2007. Stuart progressed from Consultant through to Managing Consultant and then Integration Delivery Manager for the UK before holding his current position at Coliance. Stuart graduated from the University of Dundee with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) before completing a post graduate diploma in IT.
He is a passionate football and tennis fan, as well as an avid traveller and lover of live music.
Chris Thorpe
Technical Director
As Technical Director, Chris has a keen focus on systems and business integration ensuring our customers are informed of the changes in the industry and our team of consultants are ready to face the challenges our customers set for us and trust us to deliver.
Chris graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an Honours Degree in Information Technology. Working for Fisons Pharmaceuticals, Britannia Building Society and then Fine Décor in technical roles, he gained a varied background. He moved to Sterling Commerce delivering Supply Chain and Integration Projects as Managing Consultant for 7 years, joining Coliance in 2005. He has over 25 years of experience in the field.
Chris has led and managed teams of consultants for almost all of the high-profile Sterling Commerce European accounts. With Coliance he continues to advise and lead on key projects as a business partner for many of IBM Sterling key customers in the B2B, Managed Communication, Integration, Supply Chain space.
John Hawkins
Software Development Director
Having gained his Computing degree in Manchester, John joined IBM’s prestigious Hursley UK Labs where he worked on many interesting projects including the first web servers. He stayed at IBM for 17 years before leaving to work with a number of integration companies. He joined Coliance in 2015 where he was promoted to CTO.
John always has an eye on innovation and has several patents to his name. He currently heads our software development arm where he oversees the development of our key products.
