When will the IBM Spectrum Protect and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 7.1 and IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot and Tivoli Storage FlashCopy® Manager version 4.1 reach End of Support (EOS)?
Answer
31 Decmeber 2021 has been announced as the End of Support date (EOS) for IBM Spectrum Protect and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 7.1 products and for IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot and IBM Tivoli Storage FlashCopy® Manager version 4.1.
The withdrawal announcement letter is available here: Software support discontinuance: IBM Spectrum Protect and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager programs.
There will be no support extensions for IBM Spectrum Protect and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager 7.1 products nor for IBM Spectrum Protect Snapshot 4.1.
Note: In some cases, IBM offers extended support for usage and known defects in eligible products. Contact your IBM Account team to find out more about how to apply for a support extension.
To continue receiving support beyond December 31, 2021, upgrade to a current product release that has not yet reached end of support. Clients are encouraged to upgrade to the latest release of the product. See IBM Spectrum Protect Downloads – Latest Fix Packs and Interim Fixes
