Being a customer focused leader, Stuart has more than 25 years experience in the technology space, with the past 18 years at Coliance. Having worked his way through the ranks at Coliance, and now within his role as Operations Director, Stuart is able to put his skills to their best use ensuring the teams within Coliance work efficiently and effectively to provide the world class support and services to be expected of our brand. Customer relationship building is where he thrives and he strives to develop levels of trust so that all our customers know Coliance was the right choice.
Stuart also is an integral part of the professional services team in particular through solutions implemented using the IBM Sterling product suite. From his early career days in insurance through to today, he has always been involved in delivering IBM Sterling solutions. Another key area Stuart also is involved in is the day to day operating of the company. Having graduated from the University of Dundee with a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) before completing a post graduate diploma in IT, this has given him the perfect grouding for this role.
Away from work, Stuart loves to spend time with his family including their rescue dog, Ruby. He is an ardent sports fan, in particular of football and tennis, and along with his love of live music, he likes to mix these with his other passion being travel. Having completed two New York City Marathons, Stuart would like to complete the hat trick.
Chris Thorpe, the Technical Director, is dedicated to systems and business integration. He ensures that customers are kept informed about industry changes and that the team of consultants is prepared to meet the challenges set by customers. Chris graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with an Honours Degree in Information Technology. He has held technical roles at Fisons Pharmaceuticals, Britannia Building Society, and Fine Décor, gaining a diverse background. He then moved to Sterling Commerce, where he spent seven years delivering Supply Chain and Integration Projects as a Managing Consultant. Chris joined Coliance in 2005 and has over 25 years of experience in the field.
Throughout his career, Chris has led and managed teams of consultants for nearly all high-profile Sterling Commerce European accounts. At Coliance, he continues to advise and lead on key projects as a business partner for many of IBM Sterling’s key customers in the B2B, Managed Communication, Integration, and Supply Chain sectors. He has always followed the mantra to make a difference, whether that is simply fixing something that is broken or creating alternative solutions. Accounts are always left better than they were before.
Outside of work, Chris has been a “solid” amateur photographer for over 35 years, loves camping in all its forms, nothing more than walking his two mad dogs as often as possible and spending time with his family.
John came to computing late having started as a warehouse worker, nightclub manager, door to door insurance and finally estate agent. Those experiences made him realise that he wasn’t cut out for sales !
John decided to get himself a computing degree and was then bred at IBM’s world famous Hursley labs. He was always working with bleeding edge software and gained his 12 patents there.
After IBM, he joined a number of IBM partners where he learned more about what the real world of software looked like – outside of lab conditions !
John’s massive breadth of software knowledge and middleware specialism has all been put to good use in our inspirational product – Opsis.
Stuart is a passionate Sales leader with over with over 20+ of experience in the Technology industry. Currently, Stuart serves as Sales & Revenue Director at Coliance.co, where they lead our sales team, partner alliances and our Go-To-Market sales strategy.
Throughout their career, Stuart has specialized in building new growth markets, leading new technologies to market and establishing trusted partner relationships to deliver global business technology across the globe. From working at startups to market leaders, Stuart is driven by enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty by showing an unrivalled commitment to doing the right thing for our customers, respecting all around him, and developing confidence and skills within others as a team.
Stuart likes to leave an impression “always be memorable” is his motto and he certainly proves that with every customer, employee, and partner engagement. He understands the importance of partnerships and is motivated to drive new and great opportunities always committed to delivering value to his clients and those supporting him to deliver on the requirements.
Outside of work, Stuart is a family man with his wife Louise and two sons & Zoya there rescue dog from Romania. He enjoys testing himself with fitness goals, being an avid outdoor runner & bootcamp enthusiast. He loves to get others involved in games and social events when he isn’t exploring cities and watching his beloved West Ham or Boxing.
